Red Wine Cranberry Sauce
1 cup dry red wine
1 cup dry red wine
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 pound fresh or frozen (thawed) cranberries
Combine the wine, sugar, and 1 cup water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, and cook one and a half minutes. Add cranberries, and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer, stirring frequently, until berries burst and the mixture is reduced to 3 cups, about 15 minutes. Place sauce in an airtight container, let cool completely. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
